More than 500 guests gathered on January 9, 2014 at the incomparable Taglyan Center to support the Friends of the Hollywood Central Park’s fifth annual For Love of Hollywood Gala.   Culture Clash founder and FHCP champion Richard Montoya hosted the spectacular evening and kept the audience amused with Hollywood anecdotes and personal stories.   Co-Chairs George Abou-Daoud and Thaddeus Hunter Smith presided over a fun-packed evening featuring a Step Into the Hollywood Central Park, an original FHCP augmented realty feature (see videos)   Paying tribute to the men and women who make extraordinary contributions to the creation of the Hollywood Central Park, The Real Stars of Hollywood Awards, were presented to Assembly Member Mike Gatto, Maj. Gen. Anthony Jackson, Director of California State Parks, Sharyn Romano, founder and director of Hollywood Beautification Team and Hasan Ikhrata, Executive Director for their outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the Park.

Passionate remarks were offered by Council Member Mitch O’Farrell who shared the extraordinary news that Hollywood was designated as a Promise Zone (see newsletter story)

Chairman Phil Aarons and President Alfred Fraijo, speaking on behalf of the FHCP Board, detailed the extraordinary progress made by the organization in 2013.
